What exactly is a lab diamond?

A lab diamond is a real diamond —chemically, physically, and optically identical to one mined from the earth. The only difference is where it was born. Lab diamonds are grown in a controlled environment using the same conditions that create natural diamonds, just above ground instead of miles below it.

So it's a real diamond — not a fake?

100% real. They're graded by the same gemological standards (including IGI certification) and have the same hardness, brilliance, and fire as mined diamonds.

Why do lab diamonds cost less?

Because the supply chain is shorter. You're getting the same diamond without the mining, the middlemen, or the markups. That means you can get a larger, higher-quality stone for the same budget — or simply spend smarter.

Are they ethical and sustainable?

That's a big reason many people choose them. Lab diamonds require no mining, which means no land disruption, no questionable sourcing, and a significantly smaller environmental footprint. You get the sparkle without the compromise.

Will anyone know the difference?

Do lab diamonds hold their value?

What's a IGI certification and do your diamonds have it?

Do you also sell Moissanite? Is it the same as a lab diamond?

We do — a few of our pieces feature Moissanite instead of lab diamond. They're not the same thing: Moissanite is a different gemstone (silicon carbide, not carbon) that's also grown in a lab. It has even more fire and sparkle than a diamond, with a different hardness and a lower price point.

How do I know if a piece is Moissanite or lab diamond?

Every product page lists the exact gemstone under Details, so you always know exactly what you're buying before you check out.

Why choose Moissanite over a lab diamond?

Mainly sparkle and price. Moissanite's higher refractive index gives it more rainbow flash than a diamond, and it typically costs less for a similar size — great if brilliance and value are your priority. If you want the exact same material as a mined diamond, lab diamond is the way to go.

Is Moissanite as durable as a lab diamond?

It's close. Diamond is the hardest natural material at 10 on the Mohs scale; Moissanite comes in at 9.25, still hard enough for everyday rings, earrings, and bracelets with normal care.
